The Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library System affirms its support of equal access for persons with disabilities and will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Library has zoom text on some computers at Chavez Central Library, Tracy Branch Library, Troke Branch Library and Weston Ranch Branch Library. Chavez Central Library also has closed-circuit magnifiers (CCTVs). Printed text magnifiers are available at Manteca Branch Library, Ripon Branch Library, and Weston Ranch Branch Library. The Library has a home borrowers program for people who cannot come to the library. This free service is available to those who are ill or convalescing at home, those in the care of a convalescent home or other facility, and those without transportation. The service is available to both adults and children. Volunteers visit the home borrowers to learn interests and needs and take library materials to them on a regular, mutually convenient schedule. California State Library
The California State Library offers services for people with print disablities. They loan out talking and braille books, downloadable books and magazinez, and audio playback equipment. Items are all free of charge to Californians unable to read conventional print.
